One of my favourite things to do during my lifetime is to turn ideas into actions.
We know that human life begins at the time of conception. Jeremiah 1:5. Ideas are concepts to be initiated and thus – by when and whom are concepts initiated?
The church of Jesus Christ, his Bride was born on Resurrection day. John 20:22. But when did the conception take place and by whom?
During creation, God (Jesus – Colossians 1:16, John 1.3) actually got his hands dirty when he crated Adam out of dirt! And breathed the spirit of God into him. Genesis 2.7. But disobedience to God’s word brought a curse upon Adam and he lost the presence of the Holy Spirit – “Adam where are you?” Genesis 3.9.
During the Old Testament time, the Holy Spirit came upon people to do specific actions for God. Examples like Gideon, Samuel, Saul, David, etc. But after the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit indwells the believers. Romans 8.11
A similar thing happened on resurrection day when Jesus appeared to his disciples and breathed the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) into them to be born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. John 20.22
The birth of the Church of Jesus Christ, simply put – this could not have happened any sooner because Jesus had to be crucified and die a physical death, take all of mankind’s sins and deliver them to hell, retrieve the keys of sin, death and hell from Lucifer who had stolen them from Adam (Revelation 1.18, Matthew 16: 18,19), appear to Mary Magdalene at the tomb (John 20: 16-18), then to present the old testament saints of paradise to his father in heaven (Ephesians 4:8-10), before he could return to earth and Breath the Holy Spirit into his disciples!
So on resurrection day his disciples were born again with the indwelling Holy Spirit. Romans 8.11. And in Acts 2 on the feast of Pentecost the church was empowered to enact the great Commission – Mark 16: 14-18. The concept of a church was conceived by Moses in the Desert of Saudia Arabia when he was tending sheep for Jethro the Midianite while on the run from Pharaoh, the Egyptian. Exodus 2:15-3:1. The Evidence is when he created the Hebrew Zodiac, with the star display of Aquarius and the Tribe of Reuben (Genesis 49:3-4), and the Prophet of Habakkuk, and Josiah, King of Judah.
Aquarius being the star constellation of the outpouring of empowerment for the church in the form of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit by Jesus (Matthew 3.11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16, John 1:33, Acts 2:1-21)
One of the last things Jesus did before his crucifixion was to drive out the market place happening in the gentile section of the temple to make room for the empowerment of the church on the day of Pentecost (Matthew 21:12). The Holy Spirit birthing of the bride of Christ took place on resurrection day – John 20:22. There was a 40 Year period of transition from the day of Pentecost to the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem by the Roman Empire in 70 AD. This ended the Sanhedrin and the Jewish priesthood. Revelation 1:6
It also ended the Christian worship of Believers at the temple as they fled to Petra as warned by Jesus in Matthew 24:1-34.
A highlight of my calling to ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was the year I spent in Zimbabwe in 2007 teaching Old Testament history to groups of young pastors. All the while being just one step ahead of the police for going against the attempt by president Robert Mugabe to turn Zimbabwe into a communist country, 1999 – 2018. In the end he failed because the church would not comply with his evil plan!
